Suzanne - Erm, I hate to break it to you, but Queens *is* rather conservative in some broad respects. But, my story illustrates that when you scratch the surface, people can recognize the importance and value of public respect (especially if you’re a business and want to keep your customers.)

Congrats! Very happy for you and DW. My family and I are moving to Queens soon, and I was worried it was too conservative for us … your fabulous story gives me hope (and incidentally makes me hungry for whisky ice cream). Happy Pride!

I was so confused when I first read this. Steve and his wife were gay?! It took me a few days to see that the author was Mickie T. I don’t know who you are Ms. T but thanks for the recommendation for Buenos Aires Tango!! I will be sure to let you know how it is.
