The easiest way to get to TJ's from the 71st-Continental train station is to hop on the Q23 bus -- the stop is right outside the deli, just off the corner where Vitamin Shoppe is. Get off on Metropolitan Avenue at Trotting Course Lane, just past the railroad trestle, then cross Metropolitan and you'll be there. You can't miss TJ's; it's in the big building with Michaels' craft store, with the parking lot in front. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes.

How does one get to Trader Joe's from the 71st Continental train station? Would I be able to walk it? Landmark directions please, thanks!

Pat - I really could care less about Gallagher, I don't like him much either. All of these rip-jobs and attacks of yours and your colleagues have made everyone I know in Middle Village sour on the JPCA. Forum West is not an objective journal, it is a biased attack tool.

Pat - So is the Forum West going to be more of a community paper and less of a biased attack tool for some divisive Middle Village community activists?

Sorry, Tom, I thought y'all were talking about Trader Joe's, the original subject. The 23 does indeed go right there. For Atlas Park you can transfer to the Q54, which now takes a detour down Cooper Avenue for the convenience of AP shoppers. Or if it's a nice day you can get off the 23 at Woodhaven Boulevard and stroll down Cooper the rest of the way, perhaps stopping in at Moving Right Along to check out the secondhand furniture.

Don't wanna pay for parking? Then take the Q23 bus and schlep the stuff home with the rest of us (OK, with *me*)! What are you people, suburbanites or something?:)

Those pillars drive me nuts. It seems like they could have tried to do something to minimize the effect of them on people trying to get through the isle.

One thing I have to say, though is that in the two times I've been there, no matter how crowded it was, the checkout has been superquick.
