According to one of the heads of the group, lox is kosher. Apparently the group claims the whole thing is some kind of misinterpretation of one of their reports on kosher food, which they say various media groups then blew out of proportion. Basically, if I understand it correctly, they are saying that you can't use the red color of lox to determine if other fish are kosher. I think the guy is worrying about his livelihood and his family because of what's going on in the economy, not because he's gay and can't get married.
