Flo, I am a recovering perfumista. I'm not crazy about Dzongkha (the drydown of most of Duchaufour's creations smells like pickle juice on me), but I adore Bois Farine (which some people think smells like peanut butter!) and am wearing it today, in fact.
Coffee is one of the most divine smells in the world (when it doesn't smell like tuna fish), but the taste is always a letdown. There is nothing that tastes as delicious as coffee smells.

seltzerchick, I haven't tried Bois Farine yet, and now I'll have to. Fortunately for me, (or unfortunately for my piggy bank), Duchafour's fragrances do well on my skin. However, Tauer perfumes don't do so great on me. They just become one acrid note.

Hmm, that's a Tauer I haven't tried. I've been wearing Rive Gauche since the 1970's, and I'm using my current bottle sparingly. I bought a new bottle on Ebay, but I understand that there have been reformulations, so I'm not sure what it's in there.
So many people rave about Tauer's L'Air du Desert Marocain, but it just comes out cloves on me, and I hate cloves.
I'm planning a trip to Aedes de Venustas to let my nose go wild!
