Maybe there should be a THIRD QC forum to choose from; one with the state-of-the-art forum features AND easy and highly readable navigation. Just kidding but maybe there is a way for bugleg to further tweak the Queens Neighbor settings to make it easier to get around and make it more pleasing to the eye.

I like the picture in a post feature in bugleg's forum. I was trying to post some last night / this morning but the jpeg size of my photos were too big. I have to figure out a way to make them a smaller size so I can post them on there. I wish it was like Facebook where the size is adjusted automatically. Have to figure out how to make them smaller on my Mac.

I believe that phbbb offers a mobile browser style. There's a thread for Board Styles where you might be able to request that bug look into adding it as an option.

Pat, photo-editing software does the trick. If you don't have it available perhaps you can download a free one like Piscasa.

I can see the attraction to the simplicity of these forums, but love the functionality of the queensneighbors site. Seems like a lot of other people like the simplicity too. My main concern is that no one is steering this ship. While this forum certainly ran on autopilot very well for a few years, what if some sort of odd technical problem were to surface again in the future? How would everyone feel about all the posts disappearing again... Or worse, the accounts as well?
Steve already has made it known that he's checked out. It's really out of the goodness of his heart that he spent a few minutes to stabilize things.
Everyone knowing that and continuing to use these forums anyway are really rolling the dice. There's no net folks!

@jensays: well, a community has developed here that matters more to some and less to others. Probably less to you since you don't see it as a big deal. The point is, at some point one of the forums will fall away and the other will take over, since I don't think anyone wants to be ping-ponging between two boards

What I meant was that, even if either or both of these forums regenerate with lots of good threads, and then it disappears again, it's ultimately not a serious issue. If I didn't like the content I've seen here, I wouldn't be bothering to read this. I tend to do that with blogs and forums. I'll be real active for awhile, get bored, and stay away for months until for whatever reason I get interested in something on there again. Which is perhaps why you could call me a sporadic member?
