So apparently, this article was a lie.

I called and spoke to two people at the number provided and they said it was NOT true.

I guess I have to get used to the raccoons sitting at my window, taking baths, hissing, crawling all over the roof, and such.

It is a Karen Koslowitz problem not a State issue

Except that it is Hevesi that apparently introduced the law via the NYS Legislature, according to the article in the link in the first post on this thread, so maybe someone in his office would make a call or two.
