I had the gnocchi once. As Rachael Ray would say, yumm-o.

I’ve seen enough Woody Allan movies to know that August is when ALL the NYC shrinks go away on vacation, leaving the rest of us NYers to cope with our fellow neurotics and the truly-crazies until Labor Day. It’s only a matter of time until those funny local Weird News items begin to pop up in the papers.

I am sick of pompous snobs that say walmart doesnt belong in their hood. They offfer products at 1/2 the cost of places like Associated and Pioneer. And the complaint? Bad health care benefits to their workers. The benefits at Associated and Pioneer are better? And if you dont like it - simple, dont shop there or dont work there. But the City effectively banning them in the Boroughs is the epitome of arrogance and left wing pandering. Nice city - its easier to open a store selling transexual midget videos than it is one that sells baby food at a very low price. The only opponents to Walmart are those that can easily afford to shop elsewhere. - the most arrogant of pricks. I used to wonder who could have voted for Manhattan’s Mayor Bloomberg, but it really isnt all that hard to see.

I think the politically correct term would be “transexual LITTLE PEOPLE videos”. Alas, Walmart does not sell them for 1/2 price as it does baby food.

So, uh, some of you have noticed that I’ve completely dropped off the face of the earth. It’s due to work-related issues — things heated up somethin’ fierce, but they’ve started to cool down, so I’m going to slowly work my way back. Luckily, others have been Johnny on the spot with area news while I’ve been out, but that’s nothing new.
In case you haven’t been keeping up, a top three of things that have happened in the couple of weeks since I last posted, starting after the jump right about … now.
All in all, a good couple of weeks to miss, it would appear. All quiet around these parts, mostly. Perhaps a little too quiet. Seriously, won’t anyone get a little crazy? Or at least dress the part. I own a Forest Hills Neighborhoodie — what are you doing about this situation?
