• Something about it looks very familiar, but I can’t place it. As if the large circle will hold the logo of a food chain and the rectangles will soon hold signs that say “burgers”, “drinks”, “sandwiches” and “coffee” and the like.

  Or, the rectangles will say “fax”, “copies”, “wi-fi”, “internet”, “collating”, “photos”.

  This aint Manhattan quality. Far from it. Go to Manhattan find terrific places. Go to Forest Hills, get tons of half assed places to go to. Less class and refinement.

  where the heck are you from then? first you better learn to spell and type correctly before you start making comments about a country. the letter v is on the bottom of the keyboard next to the b and c. but then again you might be so from the dark ages with you racist comment that you will never get it. people like you that make this country go backwards.

• Actually, that persons comment was not racist. Not anywhere near racist. He/she was simply commenting that there are a lot of Asian restaraunts around here. Look around and you’ll see that it’s true. Personally, I wish there was more diversification and not so many Thai places.

  and that a particular race is superior to others.
  Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

• Wow. Sure got everyone going with THAT comment. All I wrote was that I wanted food OTHER than Asian in F.H. I love our area, and I love food and I love the variety of restaurants. I don’t feel we need more Asian food. Of course, I side with Tom. I don’t see how that’s remotely racist. Geeze, this country — everyone is so damn over sensitive. Chill out, man. Go pick your bone with someone else. This isn’t the forum. I want more restaurants with more DIVERSE food. Now, it may be me, but asking for MORE diversity is kinda the opposite of what you’re going off about…and hey, what’s with the rage re; typing? Dude/dudette — this is a BLOG. It’s not cool. so what I typed the wrong letter. Just…chill. Perhaps you might want to attend a FANTASTIC yoga class @ Bamboo.

• P.S. 1) this site is pretty amazing, whoever runs it and 2) the ‘bone’, I feel, one needs to pick is with person who trashed F.H….I mean, what is that about? The come on here to say how awful this neighborhood? This is about sharing info. re; our WONDERFUL neighborhood and where to go, shop, eat, play and our community, right? The ones who just want to trash are not adding anything but negative energy. So…I’m done.

• Hi M! I concur - I moved to FH because I’ve wanted to since I’m 9 y/o and finally, I did! I LOVE FH, I love the places I can go without my car, the shops, the whole deal!!!!! I also agree with diversity in regard to the restaurants - though, hey, I love Asian food, but we do have Italian, French, Japanese, diner-stuff …. hmm….. Greek? Portugese? Indian?

It is quite likely that any 4th grader on the street can tell him that if indeed the new restaurant coming in to UJ’s spot serves Thai food, it would be from a completely different country and region than china. By the same token, I guess we should respond to his request for french food by saying we already live in france since there are so many italian restaurants and pizza shops in the area. I have more to say but have decided he’s not even worth typing about..

• The fact the person who called me ‘worthless’ has labeled themselves the ‘Forest Hills PC Police’ sorta tells you everything right there, doesn’t it? According to their standard of what is ‘pc’ they are now judging others on what they say and do and weather or not it’s ‘pc’. As for the fourth grader comment, go ahead - conduct a poll and see how many fourth graders are up on their geography. My comment was not racist or anything else…it was me saying I want more variety in restaurants. People like FHPCPolice are why this town has become impossible. You can’t say or do ANYTHING w/out someone puffing up their chest and yelling about race or politically correct behavior. So tiring.
